Shade houses are the climate-smart farmer’s answer to Kenya’s increasingly harsh and unpredictable weather. Unlike a greenhouse, which seals crops in a polythene-covered environment, a shade house uses UV-treated polyethylene netting for both walls and roof, allowing natural air circulation and diffused light while shielding crops from the extremes. Th result is a growing space that mimics ideal outdoor conditions, without the risk that come with open-field exposure.

Every unit comes with a full drip irrigation system and a quality water tank.
